As the song says, “Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream.” For almost 40 years I have been writing down every dream I have, working consistently with the intelligences they bring. My Ph.D. in Depth Psychology only deepened awareness I had already spent decades developing. The practice of working with nightly dreams leads inevitably to understanding more fully the dream of life itself, and how to read it as such.
Since the beginning of human history dreams have carried profound significance for humans who attend to them. Peoples from every part of the world have also developed means to consult with wisdom that is available from the unseen fabric of life as well through the use of oracles. An astonishing dream synchronicity led me years ago to begin the study of this practice, and long experience has taught me of its undeniable value.
In hour long sessions, or up to day-long intensives, I work with individuals to find healing insight into unconscious patterns of thought and emotion that produce consequences in daily life. Insight, as physicist David Bohm puts it, is an active substance that “re-creates the brain.” Once we can see these patterns, the brain in our head as well as the brain in the heart, know better what to do.
